A blockage in Washington’s sewer system caused wastewater to flow into Crooked Creek yesterday. The city discovered the block yesterday afternoon. City Administrator Dave Plymann says situations like this happen on a regular basis. He says the problem won’t be resolved until they build the new sewer plant. Councilors last night approved applying for a 600-thousand dollar community block grant to help fund construction of the project
