Washington County Supervisors will receive a petition at this week’s meeting asking them not to implement a proposed zoning ordinance. The issue has been a contentious one. Some say it’s overly restrictive of rural residents, while others feel it provides protection and a means for more orderly planning. Supervisors this week will also discuss what procedures they’ll follow while reviewing the 99 page document. The meeting is tomorrow (10/27) at the Washington County Courthouse.
