The Riverside Veterans Memorial is nearing completion and organizers will hold an unveiling ceremony Wednesday, November 11. Committee Chair Christine Kirkwood says the memorial has received overwhelmingly positive support from the community. Kirkwood says the ceremony will include an invocation and a speech from the former Iowa National Guard commander. She says there is more work to be done in the park, mostly having to do with aesthetic improvements and landscaping.
