The Washington County Riverboat Foundation has received 45 applications for grants during this year’s fall period.
Cottonwood Church will hold a beef and chicken dinner Wednesday, October 28 at the Wayland Community Center at 4:30. There will be a freewill offering and bazaar items for sale.
The United Church of Crawfordsville will hold a soup supper Saturday, November 14 from 4:30-6:45. They will serve potato and oyster soup, chili, desserts and more with entertainment at 7. There will be a freewill offering.
Funeral services for 90 year old Francis W. McAvoy of Washington will be at 10:30 Friday morning at the United Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in Elm Grove Cemetery. Visitation will begin at noon Thursday with family present from 6-8. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the United Presbyterian Home.
Celebration of Life service for 85 year old T. Cal Clark of Eldridge, formerly of Kalona and Wayland are tomorrow at the Kalona United Methodist Church. Visitation will be today from 4-7 at Peterseim Funeral Home in Kalona. Memorials have been established to Kalona United Methodist Church, Kalona Golf Club, and Grand Haven Retirement Community of Eldridge.
