A state representative from Washington County Iowa’s current fiscal problems are partly out of state government’s control. Riverside Democrat Larry Marek says Iowa lost more than 50-thousand non farm jobs since last year’s revenue estimating conference. Marek says that reduction in jobs has meant a drop in sales, income and corporate tax revenue for the state.
