The Wellman Fire Department responded to a major structure fire at a local business Friday afternoon. The Washington County Communications Center says firefighters reported flames coming through the roof of Yoder Plumbing and Heating. Kalona Fire Department, Washington County Ambulance, Wellman Volunteer Ambulance, and the sheriff’s office also responded. The building suffered considerable damage but no injuries were reported. The cause of the blaze is not available at this time.
