Brighton residents are encouraged to attend a conference at Iowa State University to work to reduce poverty in their community and across Iowa. The extension’s Nancy Adrian says the Brighton Visioning Committee is part of a much larger network of community betterment organizations sponsored by the university Adrian says the purpose of these committees is to reduce poverty in communities with under 10-thousand residents. She says the conference will take place November 11 at the ISU Memorial Union.
