The Washington Tourism Committee is hopeful that voters will approve a hotel-motel tax during next month’s city election. Gary McCurdy is a member of that committee. He says such a tax usually isn’t a factor for tourists when they consider where will stay. McCurdy says since Washington is so close to Highway 218, it has a lot of potential to draw in tourists.
