The new Wellman Community Center is nearing completion and the city administrator says it’s in large part due to residents. Dave Ross says while they received a number of grants for the project, a large portion of funds came directly from area citizens. He says they have raised around 800-thousand dollars in cash and pledges in Wellman alone. Ross says the building is about a month and a half away from being completed with only a few construction projects left to be done.
