DEMONS, IMS RANK HIGH IN TRAVELING CUP

The Washington Demons finished pretty high in Class 3A in the Traveling Challenge Cup program for the past school year. This is a program that uses a point system to rank schools based on athletic achievement in terms of post season performance, as well as academic performance. The top ranked school from each class receives a thousand dollar donation. Washington finished 22nd among Class 3A schools. Decorah, Sioux City Heelan and Marion finished one, two, and three. The Demons were the highest ranking Southeast Conference school. Fairfield was 28th, and Keokuk 31st. In Class 2A, Mid-Prairie finished 55th. Finally in Class 1A, IMS finished seventh.
